In this interview, Ellisecia Warner, 2nd year Sales and Marketing Intern of the SVGCC DTVE, asks Miss Williams to share about her inspiration to create this platform. She also questions about the impact that Learning for Living has had on the community, especially for young people. 

What inspired you to create this platform?

Miss Williams  disclosed that her vision was to create a dynamic and impactful space where students could feel comfortable and happy all the time, while removing traditional limitations and conceptions about development. Learning for Living was designed to be a space where students could be themselves and learn without even realizing that they were learning.

I would say it was generally a positive experience for all of us who have been involved: for myself and those managing, for parents, students, and teachers.

How has Learning for Living impacted the community?

We’ve seen students improve, and our main goals is to see students have fun to have them achieve excellence and to ensure that they’re successful, and so we set personal goals for each student. Success is not only academic, it also includes social  emotional components, so I would say the impact that we have had on the community, is far reaching, and more than anything else, it’s long-lastings
