In this video, Kimsha Williams sits down for a chat with Julien James, Sales and Marketing intern of the SVGCC DTVE to explain how exactly the SVG Job Board works. 

She said her team created the website, www.svgjobsonline.com especially so that young Vincentians can sign up as candidates and create personal, professional profiles to market themselves and their skills while searching for a job or even while being employed.

Further, employers can create company profiles for their businesses and post jobs. Jobs can be filtered by location, category, type, etc and candidates can be reviewed and filtered by qualifications, skills, experience, etc.

We’ve also created the SVG Jobs Online app which is available for download in the Apple App Store and the Google Play store.

Miss Williams disclosed that after developing and testing the website internally, her team met with potential candidates and employers and took their feedback in the form of suggestions and critique on board, addressed their concerns and added features that they requested which were relevant.

I am also the author of a book titled Job Ready which is being used as the course manual for Learning for Living’s FREE Job Readiness course.

The SVG Job Board has already began to helping businesses to recruit workers from among candidates registered on the network and the team is mostly looking forward to inspiring, mentoring and equipping young people who are ready to launch a new career.
